On June 2, an online board meeting of Yeollin Gonggam TV was held. The board members expressed concerns that raising funds without a concrete plan could constitute fraud, and they requested an immediate suspension of the fundraising activities. The board emphasized that establishing a U.S. branch required prior board approval. However, Jung rejected the board’s position and, on June 8, secretly established a for-profit corporation without informing either the board or the Korean-American community.
Jung threatened the board members by saying he would shut down the Yeollin Gonggam TV YouTube channel, and as a result, he was dismissed from his position as CEO on June 7.
